Strait Logics, as recently reported, achieved its IiP (Investors in People) accreditation and those of you who know, the hard work does not stop there. In order to ensure our employees’ training and development is continued and taken to the next level, we have commissioned Radius 360, a local training provider to help us address our training needs. As a result of our IiP assessment, a range of training initiatives were identified and to help fulfil these, Business Link for Essex agreed to match-fund Strait Logics' contribution.

Radius 360 looked at our business plan and objectives in conjunction with our IiP assessment recommendations and was able to identify areas of development in our employees’ skills and knowledge. The first of the planned workshops took place in November, titled Colour Energies, which focused on our employees’ different personalities in the work environment and how these can be used to appreciate each other more while getting the most from the workforce by understanding their different work styles.

Colour Energies is part of the Insights Discovery profile group, the Insights system is built around the model of personality first identified by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. Using Jung's typology, this profile offers a framework for self-understanding and development by identifying your own individual colour energy and how you can use it in the work environment.

The colour energies workshop was the first in a series of training workshops and was well received by the staff, identifying our strengths and building constructively on our weaknesses, something which is hard to do when they are our blind spots.
