Employee Engagement
The prescription for Total Reward success |
|
Being a Marketing Professional, I am a great fan of questionnaires and surveys. You cannot underestimate the power of talking to others and really listening to what they have to say. You cannot run a business without knowing what your customers, employees or acquaintances want and one would be a fool to assume. So I ask myself why is it that so many people go through life wearing blinkers. There is no point inventing something and trying to sell it when you don't know if anyone really wants it and this principle can be applied the same to your internal customer, your employees. Why produce employee communications if they do not include the information employees want, the only way of really knowing this is to engage your employees from the outset. Engaging employees in the simplest form of asking what they really want from their employers and what satisfies them, be it pay and benefits or leadership or a good team environment, will ensure you get the details right upfront. In essence a TRS (Total Reward Statement) should be the analysis and the feedback that supports the results of an employee engagement exercise. In the past, producing and distributing a TRS would have been ample for staff satisfaction and increasing morale, but employees are now demanding to be heard - and rightfully so! Thus engaging employees using two-way communications is a measurable success of TRS implementation. Please click here to request a copy of our Total Reward Statement | |
