Let's face it -- focusing on environmental issues is not a new thing. Even the 'green' business concept has been around for nearly a decade but recently there has been an accelerated pro-active approach towards finally making the changes needed to create a difference. The new 'must have' has had a knock on effect across all industries, causing the HR industry to reassess how they can entice potential employees with environmentally friendly benefits.

The facts show that UK workers say they would prefer to work for an employer who is environmentally aware and a third of UK workers agreed that receiving extra greener benefit would encourage them to stay dedicated to their employers.

The first half of 2007 has seen many changes for Strait Logics, including a batch of new recruits across various departments. A new Development Consultant, a replacement Marketing Executive and an addition to the company's Business Development team have boosted the company's workforce considerably. The existing Strait Logics team welcome the newly appointed members and look forward to observing what they hope will be an increase in productivity across the whole organisation.

Once again we exhibited at this year's NAPF Annual Conference in Manchester. The event was held at the Manchester Central, formerly the G-MEX Centre, on 24^th- 25^th  May 2007 and managed to draw over 500 delegates to the seminars and the innovative exhibition.

Strait Logics' presence was as strong as ever and the two day event provided plenty of opportunity to showcase our On Paper, On Media and Online solutions to keen representatives of the pensions market. Demonstrations of our pioneering Pension Modeller and our bespoke Online Pension Statements proved popular and examples of our customers' On Paper personalised statements were also available to view.

Our interactive 'Puzzled' competition brought many delegates to the stand with their jigsaw pieces, which had been posted to them prior to the show. Those who had pieces that fitted in to our part-completed jigsaw puzzle, received a prize. The "Puzzled" idea kept everyone intrigued and entertained and contributed towards making this year's exhibition, a successful and rewarding experience.

Developer's Corner

Continued personal development is one of the cornerstones of Strait Logics' ethos so we're please to announce that both Bhavesh Patel and Rich day will be undertaking specialist Microsot Training over the course of the next year. The final qualification is "Microsoft Certified Professional Developer - Enterprise Application Developer". Successful qualification will make Strait Logics eligible to join the Microsoft Certified Gold Partner programme and take advantage of the many features it entails. The training not only reflects our commitment to investing in our people but it also ensures that Strait Logics is always at the forefront of technological developments and is able to deliver cutting edge Microsoft technologies. We wish them the very best of luck in their endeavours.

 Strait Logics proudly took to sponsoring this year's Employee Benefits Summit, a first time experience which proved to be invaluable. Not only did we sponsor the event but we also developed personalised Event Gudes tailored to each delegate's individual itinerary. Held in jerez, Spain, the event this year was designed to take delegates away from the distractions of day to day work and create an environment where they could really learn about industry trends and innovations. It took a lot of convincing but we are assured the trip was no holiday, 2 days on intense workshops and delegate entertainment was a strain but somehow Sanjay Shingadia and Stephen Lester managed to get through it to deliver our specilist workshop subject 'How will you communicate?'

Discussions were held exploring the various avenues open to companies wishing to achieve another dimension of communication with their employees. Once more, there was strong interest in our On Paper and Online solutions combined, providing the ultimate personalised Total Reward Statement for those who require accuracy and quality every time. Without a doubt, the overall opinion was that the Summit was a fantastic opportuinity to network and generally reflect on important Industry issues.

Business Achievement Award for HR Solutions

Strait Logics have been presented with the Media Online Business Achievement Award for HR Solutions 2007.

The award focuses on achievement within a particular sector and is presented to companies who have a good business concept, continual commitment to identifying best practice and offer exceptional services or products. Strait Logics were categorised within the 'HR Solutions' sector, short-listed and eventually picked as the winner.

The judges of the prestigious award reviewed all the evidence presented and acknowledged our ISO 9001:2000 certificate which controls all our Quality Management and Procedures, ensuring constant review of bet practice. They also recognised our commitment to developing and marketing high quality soluions and our reputation of being good value for money.

Yet another mark of recognition for Strait Logics and a sign of more good things to come for our customers!
