Nepal Trekker returns to home comforts

Wednesday 29 April 2009

In October 2008, our resident project manager Julie Cooper embarked the challenge of a life time to endure a trek through the mountains of Nepal. Raising £3,400.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support, Julie did herself proud to complete the trek in one piece.

Sharing her memories, Julie said "I did it! After 6 days trekking over rough terrain, rough camping (we all know what that means!!), getting up at 6am, enduring leeches and other nasty things, I finally arrived at the finish line! It was a lot tougher than I expected but I wouldn't have missed it for the world ..... [I] had an experience of a lifetime. Thanks to everyone who supported me - watch out for news on my 2010 trek along the Inca Trail!"

We congratulate and applaud Julie for completing her mission in aid of a very worthy cause.
